Your data is yours
The records, books, documents and settings your ranch puts into RanchPulse belong to your ranch. We keep them to run the service for you. We do not sell them, and we do not use one ranch's data to show anything to another ranch.
Download everything, any time
An owner can download all of the ranch's data at any time from Settings → Your data → Download everything: one spreadsheet (CSV) for each kind of record (animals and places, records, the books, budgets, settings, crew and activity) plus every original file that was uploaded, in a single zip file. It is free and does not need support's help.
Delete your ranch or your account
- Delete the ranch (owners, Settings → Your data): it disappears for everyone on it right away, its connections and AI app access stop, and everything is erased for good 30 days later. Until then support can restore it if it was deleted by mistake.
- Delete your account (anyone, Settings → Your data): your sign-in is removed and you leave every ranch you are on. A ranch where you are the only person is deleted with it as above. If you own a ranch that has other people on it, you make one of them an owner first, or delete the ranch.
- Copies held in backups are removed as those backups expire.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, and your role on each ranch you belong to.
- What you put in: records, books, documents, photos, map outlines, settings and the answers you give when you sign up.
- What you connect: data from programs you choose to connect (for example QuickBooks), only for the ranch that connected them.
- Activity: what was changed, by whom and when, so the ranch has a history and problems can be traced.
Who can see it
Only people on your ranch, and each of them only what their role allows (a hand sees the herd, an accountant the books). Our staff look at a ranch's data only to provide support you ask for or to keep the service running and secure.
AI features
When you use the assistant or have it read a file, the request and the parts of your ranch's data it needs are sent to the AI model provider to produce the answer. An AI app you connect from outside RanchPulse sees one ranch only, with your permissions, and you can disconnect it at any time. If you use your own AI key, requests go to your provider under your account.
